Personal Philosophy
Personal Philosophy
After 15 years of leading and scaling organizations, I’ve come to believe this:
What looks like a strategy or execution issue is usually a people issue.
What we try to solve with hard skills is often a deeper call for personal growth — in how we relate, communicate, and lead.
That’s why I created Green Tara Leadership. I wanted to offer the kind of space I wish I’d had: one where leaders can develop the emotional depth, relational skills, and inner clarity needed to lead courageously — while still holding the weight of running teams and companies.

Why “Green Tara”?
Why “Green Tara”?
The name is inspired by my time living in Bhutan, where I was introduced to Green Tara, a figure in Buddhist tradition known for her courage, wisdom, and compassion.
She represents the ability to act from deep intuition — something I believe every great leader must cultivate. These are the values I now work to grow in others across Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Courageous Action
Build your tolerance for sitting with fear and moving forward anyway. The most important business and team decisions are constrained not by data or expertise, but by fear. Learn how to welcome vulnerability to unlock your most courageous moves.
My journey so far
My journey so far
I was trained in Interpersonal Dynamics at Stanford University — the school’s most famous course on emotional intelligence and leadership soft skills. Since then, I’ve applied those insights as an operator, investor, and executive leader.
At Monk’s Hill Ventures, I worked as a VC investor. Later, at Glints, I worked as the Director of Product and a member of the Executive Team.

I helped scale Southeast Asia’s largest HR-tech startup from 70 to 1,000 employees and from Series B to D, leading multiple years of double-digit revenue growth.
I’ve also worked in non-profit development across the world from rural India to Senegal.
I studied at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, and earned my MBA from Stanford GSB.

What I’m most proud of? Building some of the company’s strongest teams — and seeing my team members step into powerful leadership roles of their own.

Why Vietnam and Southeast Asia?
Why Vietnam and Southeast Asia?
I grew up in Europe and the U.S. and I am proud of my Vietnamese roots. 50 years after my family left Vietnam, I’ve made the country and region my home — and the focus of my life’s work.
I combine my global experience with deep cultural care and understanding for Vietnam and the region.
My experiences taught me how to connect, influence, and lead from within. Now, I’m honored to support other leaders in doing the same.

What stands Tara apart is her deep perceptiveness, her natural inclination towards meaningful connection, and her unmasked compassion. In practice, this manifests as the ability to repeatedly cultivate high performance in new teams she leads. She understands high-performing teams aren't willed into existence; rather they are cultivated through a layering of conditions, of which trust and connection is the bedrock. This doesn't mean that she shies from difficult decisions; in fact, she actively seeks them out for they are the long-term most compassionate thing she can do for everyone involved.
